what are the types of Contracts

Contracting is not a one size fits all. there are many variations on Contracts. from a the simple Contract with a single product, such as landscaping to a more complex contract with many sub contractors and a general Contractor. RSJ Construction LLC prefers to be the General Contractor working directly with the customer in most cases. The buck stops here.  one type of contract is a full service, where everything on the project is included. this type of project will be 100% complete, and there is an itemized contract, where everything listed on the contract is spelled out.  as you can see by the Picture, there are as many types of contracts as there are stars on the original stars and stripes :)   anyway one thing to be aware of, the more levels of people in your contract the higher the cost, this makes sense as the more people with their hands in the cookie jar. this can be a good thing on very large projects, that can have lots of misinterpretation of the plans or the contract documents.  On larger projects there are 2 main contracts the AIA which is geared toward protecting the owner and AGC contracts which are geared toward the Contractor. due diligence and trust your gut when dealing with any contract
